Rather than replacing my fridge altogether (it's too expensive), how can I make it more energy efficient?

1. Vacuum the coils.

2. Check the entire gasket seal by placing a piece of paper between the door and fridge at the top, bottom and along the sides to confirm it is held in place. Adjust or replace the gasket as necessary.

The thermostat should normally be set somewhere in the second quartile between "off" and coldest.
