One Day is about taking small steps to reduce energy use, at home and on the road, to make Vancouver the cleanest, greenest, healthiest city in the world.
At the City of Vancouver, we believe that big problems can be addressed, people can change and we believe the key to change is taking small first steps.
The One Day program is the City of Vancouver's community engagement process in support of its Community Climate Change Action Plan. The goal of this plan is to reduce community green house gas (GHG) emissions 6% from 1990 levels by 2012. The progress made toward this goal is outlined in The 2007 Climate Protection Progress Report.
One Day is about small first steps. It's about individual actions that each of us can take to reduce energy in our daily lives. To find out more about what One Day is, read the One Day Fact Sheet.
