Music, movement and make-believe are the tools of choice for families wishing to show their appreciation for Stanley Park during this year's Earth Day celebrations. On April 22nd, 2007 families are invited to come together at Playing for the Park, a family benefit concert celebrating the wonders of nature in Vancouver's backyard.
Under the enthusiastic lead of featured children's entertainers, Bobs & Lolo
(www.bobsandlolo.com) and special guest, Will Stroet (www.willmusic.ca), the shows will be filled with musical adventures for the whole family. Bobs & Lolo and their band will perform a selection of tunes from their popular new release, Musical Adventures (December 2006), which includes songs about enjoying the outdoors (My Bike, The Great Outdoors, Raindrop Pop), conserving wildlife (Wish for a Fish) and going green (Recycle with Me).
The Stanley Park Ecology Society is excited to present Playing for the Park in partnership with a number of Vancouver-based supporters, including the Roundhouse Community Centre, Playground Media Inc., Bobolo Productions and Five Fathom Studios. Full proceeds from the event will benefit SPES' education and conservation programs.
