Go Green Challenge - deadline - May 17th, 2007

 The effects of global warming and climate change have become top of mind for many people in recent months.

CKNW is launching the Go Green Challenge! CKNW is challenging the young minds of the Lower Mainland to put their heads together as a school and create a unique plan to do whatever they can to make our world a greener place! a contest that we hope will be fun, educational and do some good at the same time! The school whose plan has the most impact, as decided by our panel of judges, will win our grand prize...a PRIVATE afternoon at Playland for the entire school (transportation included)!

Our panel of judges includes: Barry Penner, BC's Environment Minister; Sam Sullivan, Mayor of Vancouver; Dave Mowat, President and CEO of Vancity Credit Union and who was one of 1000 people who spent 2 days being trained by Al Gore on how to give his presentation; Andrea Reimer, Executive Director of the Wilderness Committee and also one of 1000 people who was trained by Al Gore, and Christy Clark, former Deputy Premier. - School Name
- Principal and Contact Numbers
- Details of School Go Green Challenge Project
- Approx. number of Students participating in the Challenge
- Number of students at school
