Burnaby Green Alternatives Fair and Farmer's Market - June 9th, 2007
This premiere Environment Week 2007 event will show case locally-produced goods and services, including BC-grown foods, LED household lighting, geothermal energy, and innovative building supplies.
Residents and businesses are invited to learn about local products and services that are healthier for people and the environment.
Some highlights will include:
Free biodegradable polypropylene tote bags (at Honeywell booth) for first 100 visitors;
Hands-on displays of the latest energy-efficient technologies for home heating;
Free consultations with home renovation experts;
Test-rides of electric scooters, bikes, and skateboards;
Sale of vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets, pottery and more;
Information on healthy eating and cancer prevention;
Information on City of Burnaby environmental programs;
Childrens face painting; and
Free green give-aways.
