Light House: Sustainable Building Centre, guest expert series - July 7th, 2007

Each Saturday from 2-4pm, a different green building professional is invited to the Light House resource centre on Granville Island to speak about his or her area of expertise. These seminars are free and open to the public.  Please see below for details on our upcoming speakers.

July 7, 2-4pm - Chris Revell, Energy Saving Tips

July 7 - Chris Revell, BC Hydro (B.Sc Physical Geography, in progress)

Chris will discuss the different programs that are currently offered by BC Hydro as well as some simple tips to save energy in your home for little or no cost.

Bio - Chris started working at BC Hydro as an Outreach representative in the summer of 2005, as part of a team who went out into the community to educate people of all ages about ways to save energy.  Upon returning to school in the fall, he continued working for BC Hydro on a casual basis before returning full time in the summer of 2006 as an Outreach team leader.  As part of Power Smart Outreach, he gained an expertise on simple behavioral changes to reduce consumption, as well as several of the programs that BC Hydro offers to its customers.  As of March of this year, Chris began a new roll in the Customer Care and Conservation group where he is currently working on several projects involving new technologies and initiatives to promote conservation as well as ensuring that customers receive a high level of customer service.

PLEASE RSVP to [email protected] These are free events but a donation of $2-$5 is suggested.
